Star Cast and Crew:

Rupert Grint … Ron Weasley
Helena Bonham Carter … Bellatrix Lestrange
Timothy Spall … Peter Pettigrew
David Thewlis … Remus Lupin

Director: David Yates

Review: 6/10

Synopsis:

The final adventure in the Harry Potter film series follows Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) as they prepare for a final battle with Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes), who is determined to destroy Harry once and for all. In order to defeat the powerful wizard, they must find and destroy Voldemort’s last and most elusive Horcrux — that is, the enchanted piece of soul allowing him to remain immortal — before his nefarious plans come to fruition.

HP7.2 Performances:

Daniel Radcliffe was excellent in this movie, it was a great mixture between his intensity and maturity. Ralph Fiennes quite impressive as the evil dark wizard Voldemort. Emma Watson was amazing starting to end. Rupert Grint was good, I was happy to see his character finally gain more seriousness. Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter were awesome as always. Remaining did justice to their respective roles.

HP7.2 Technical Aspects:

David Yates handles such moments well without losing momentum. Steve Klove’s has written a good script, that is wordy when it needs to be, but allows the action to speak for itself. The music very contemporary. Epilog may generate more unintentional laughs than intended, but it still possesses a very affectionate farewell to these iconic characters.

Verdict:

It’s a lot better than Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: (Part 1) and it’s middlingly entertaining even if you aren’t a die hard Harry Potter fan. However, I still find the movie draggy and a little boring. The visual effects and score were astounding, and the action sequences adeptly arranged. This is a pretty good ending though. But, my favorite is still ‘Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban‘…

I still think the books are better, because you can’t fit that much depth into a movie or it would be 10 hours long ;)

Final Word: Its Good But Lacks Something…
